Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026
Block Nova ("the game") is made by Amer Hamed ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and the choices you have. We built Block Nova to collect as little as possible.
In short
- Your progress and settings stay on your device.
- There are no accounts, ads, in-app purchases, analytics or tracking.
- If the game crashes, an anonymous crash report may be sent so we can fix the problem. You can turn this off in Settings.
- Game Center (iPhone and iPad) and Google Play Games (Android) are optional and run by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
Information stored on your device
The game saves your scores, Voyage progress and stars, Daily challenge results, statistics, power-ups, the game in progress and your settings. This information is stored only on your device. It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it.
Deleting the game removes this information. Your device's own backup service (such as iCloud or Google backup) may include it, under that service's terms.
Crash reports
When the game runs into an unexpected error or crashes, it can send a crash report to Sentry, a service that helps developers find and fix bugs. Reports are stored in Sentry's data center in the European Union (Germany).
A crash report contains technical details only:
- what went wrong and where in the game's code;
- the game's version, and recent in-game steps that led to the error (for example, which screen was open);
- your device model, operating system version, language and similar technical details.
Crash reports do not include your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, screenshots or any account information, and they are not linked to your identity. We have set up the service not to store IP addresses.
We use crash reports only to find and fix problems in the game, and keep them only as long as needed for that, at most 90 days. We do not sell them or use them for advertising.
Crash reporting is on by default because it helps keep the game stable. You can turn it off at any time with the "Send crash reports" switch in Settings. When it is off, nothing is sent.
Game Center and Google Play Games
If you sign in to Game Center or Google Play Games, the game sends your achievements and scores to that service so they appear in achievements and leaderboards, where other players may see your player name and score. The game receives your player name from the service in order to show that you are signed in.
Apple and Google handle this information under their own privacy policies. Signing in is optional; the whole game can be played without it.
What we do not do
- We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts or photos.
- We do not show ads or use advertising identifiers.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
Children
Block Nova is a general-audience game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Crash reports are anonymous and can be turned off in Settings.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off crash reports in Settings, sign out of Game Center or Google Play Games in your device's settings, and delete all game data by deleting the game.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information about you, such as access or deletion. Because crash reports cannot be linked to you, we usually cannot identify any report as yours, but you are welcome to contact us with any request or question.
Security
Crash reports are sent over an encrypted connection. Information saved on your device is protected by your device's own security.
Changes to this policy
If the game starts handling information differently, we will update this policy and the date below. The version inside the game is always the current one.
